A Forgotten Man was created by Alex Ashton.
Alex Ashton, a native Alabamian, graduated from Auburn University and earned an MBA in Finance from Indiana University. He is a member of the Alpha Beta Gamma honor society. He worked most of his career in private business as a certified accountant and was recognized as a Fellow in the American Production and Inventory Control Society. Ashton’s work history includes investigation into criminal activity.
Alex Ashton has an interest in human rights. Some years ago he became acquainted with Timothy Charles Davis, who was awaiting execution on Alabama’s death row in Holman Prison. A Forgotten Man is the direct result of conversations between Ashton and Davis about shortcomings in the Alabama criminal justice system. Ashton undertook the investigation into Davis’ situation not as an advocate for Davis but to understand the truth.
